“Building and Growing” Category
Village West Marina & Resort was honored to receive this year’s annual Marina of the Year Awards for the category of “Building and Growing.” Our Harbor Master Tim Fontaine and General Manager Vickie Baumann flew to Nashville to attend the Marina Age Dock Expo and to accept the award. This award is special for many reasons. It’s a national award so we are competing with some amazing marinas all over the country. We care about you, our guests and tenants; we’re listening carefully and will continue to make improvements around the marina. Village West Marina is ever improving and in the past few years alone has completely transformed. We added the word “Resort” to our name for a reason. Village West Marina & Resort will continue to make first-class improvements for the enjoyment of our guests and tenants, and to contribute to the betterment of the California Delta and the community as a whole.

2021 Hal Schell Award Recipients
We’re thrilled to announce that Claude and Arron have been honored recipients of the 15th annual Hal Schell Award, presented by the California Delta Chambers. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the betterment of the California Delta. Over the past three years, Village West Marina has undergone remarkable transformations, including the addition of new amenities like the Cast-A-Way Fishing Deck, The Bungalows, Riverside RV Park, and the fully renovated Stop & Shop Convenience Store. Our commitment to ongoing improvements also extends to upcoming projects like The Club Fitness and Event Center. These enhancements not only enhance the experience for our guests and tenants but also contribute to the overall improvement of the California Delta community.

Gold Anchor Accreditation
The Gold Anchor Global Marina Accreditation Program has been auditing marinas around the world for more than 25 years and is now being administered by the Marine Recreation Association in the United States with three California marinas being accredited to date. We began the in-depth evaluation process, covering 87 separate criteria, November 2020, which included a physical survey of the marina facilities and review of marina policies, procedures, and customer services. The ‘5-Gold Anchor’ award requires a score of 85 to 94% on the assessment, which few marinas world-wide have achieved. We are the 1st marina in Northern California to achieve 5 Gold Anchors, and the 2nd Marina in all of California to achieve this status.

Village West Marina is thrilled to announce that we’ve been recognized as The Record’s Best of San Joaquin 2016! Thanks to our amazing tenants and visitors, we’ve been honored as the top marina in Stockton and the San Joaquin Delta for the second consecutive year. We appreciate your support as we continue to enhance our marina with new amenities and improvements.
While “Marina” is no longer a category in The Record’s Best, we’re proud to have been the winner in previous years. The competition still features categories like best burger, best outdoor dining, and best happy hour, where our onsite restaurants, Bob’s at the Marina and Garlic Brothers, reign as champions!
