5 Gold Anchor Accredited

The 1st Marina in Northern California to Achieve 5 Gold Anchors

Village West Marina & Resort Receives Prestigious 5-Gold Anchor Accreditation

We’re proud to announce that Village West Marina & Resort has been awarded the esteemed 5-Gold Anchor rating by the Gold Anchor Global Marina Accreditation Program, recognizing us as one of the top-rated marinas in California.

This internationally respected program, administered in the U.S. by the Marine Recreation Association (MRA), has been auditing marinas worldwide for over 25 years. The Gold Anchor rating system—comparable to the Michelin stars for restaurants—evaluates marinas on 87 detailed criteria, including customer service, cleanliness, marina facilities, and boater amenities, awarding from 2 to 5 Gold Anchors based on quality.

We began the intensive evaluation process in November 2020, which included a thorough physical inspection of our California Delta marina, reviews of our policies and procedures, and customer satisfaction benchmarks. Achieving a 5-Gold Anchor rating requires an assessment score between 85–94%, a level of excellence that only a few marinas worldwide reach.

Village West Marina is proud to be the first marina in Northern California and only the second marina in the entire state to receive this top honor. This milestone reaffirms our commitment to providing a world-class boating experience on the California Delta.

The award was presented in March 2021 by Kathy O’Brien, past MRA Board Member, to Arron Pellarin, Partner and Owner of Village West Marina. Mayor Kevin Lincoln of Stockton and San Joaquin County Supervisor Tom Patti were also in attendance to celebrate this achievement.

We were also honored with a feature on KCRA 3 News and in Marina Dock Age Magazine, which published an article recognizing our outstanding operations and hospitality. Read the full article here.
